2018, mixed media, 63 x 49 cm.

This work is part of a series for an exhibition titled My gem or lab hell, which was the anagram of the gallery’s name, as the title of all the works on show. In this case a hammer with clear signs of studio wear (paint and plaster) is wedged inside a wooden log that supports the aluminum photograph of a belly. An onomatopoeic presence that is indeed an exercise in style, but also an example of what can be considered photography or sculpture.
