Memory and remembrance once again reveal themselves as fundamental threads in Pasquini’s work.
For the exhibition The End of the Nineties, the artist resurrects from a dusty stack of ’90s relics a grunge-style shirt, onto the back of which he stitches the very title of the show, a warning, or perhaps a tribute, to a bygone era.

Here, memory blends in perfect, slightly melancholic harmony with nostalgia and the awareness that, from those years, all that remains is a worn-out shirt, faded by time.

Il ricordo e la memoria si dimostrano nuovamente una delle matrici fondamentali dell’artista e per la mostra The end of the nineties Pasquini riesuma da una vecchia pila di ricordi targati anni ‘90 una camicia dallo stile grunge sulla cui schiena cuce proprio la frase titolo della mostra, monito di un’epoca passata e finita.

Il ricordo qui si mescola in un perfetto accordo, un po’ malinconico, con la nostalgia e la consapevolezza che, di quegli anni, tutto quello che ci resta è solo una vecchia camicia un po’ spenta dal tempo.
