On the occasion of an exhibition celebrating the centenary of Ariosto, the artist takes on the challenge of creating a portrait of one of the women from this remarkable writer’s world.
Here, several contrasting elements come into play: the black background set against the pure white of the canvas, as well as the revival of certain techniques typical of 16th-century painting—such as the meticulous preparation of the canvas—combined with Pasquini’s distinctive marks, like his characteristic drips.

In occasione di una mostra per il centenario di Ariosto l’artista si cimenta qui nella realizzazione del ritratto di una delle donne di questo incredibile scrittore.

Vediamo qui contrapporsi diversi elementi: il fondo nero in contrasto al bianco puro della tela, così come la ripresa di alcune tecniche tipiche della pittura del ‘500 come la preparazione meticolosa del fondo della tela accostate a quelli che sono i tratti distintivi di Pasquini, come le colature.
